KMX-T VHF/UHF trunked mobile radios ![]()

The KMX-T trunked mobile radio series packs an amazing array of features into its ultra compact casing. Available in frequency bands ranging from 66 MHz to 960 MHz, it is designed for use in advanced trunking systems (MPT 1327) which may make use of both speech and data modes. This means they are the ideal choice for applications where functions such as vehicle location and monitoring are essential.
KMX-T radios have been designed to be simple and user friendly, with familiar tones, straightforward controls and a clear 3-digit LED display with indicators for TX, Stack, Status and Service. The display shows the incoming call identity, call timer and status received, and if the user is away from the radio it will store details of up to 20 calls received in absence. Special selector buttons on the speaker/microphone ensure fast dialling. There are up to 999 selectable addresses and up to 99 pre-set addresses including a wide range of call types: normal, group, broadcast, priority, emergency, divert, cancel divert, status, 4 and 9 digit PABX, 20 digit PSTN and open channel non-trunked.
An integral 1200 baud modem allows full data capability including SDMI, SDM2 and NPD. Enhanced data protocols enable fast, efficient and reliable data messages of up to 2048 bytes per transaction, or repeated transactions up to the maximum call time.Features

The KME series of mobiles includes versions for all applications - conventional PMR and MPT1327 trunked systems - in all frequency bands from 66520MHz.
This range of models from Key Radio Systems Ltd of Aldermaston (UK), has outstanding reliability and a rugged metal casing. It is available in a wide range of frequency bands and channel spacing. MPT1327 trunked models all have full data capability as standard (SDM1, SDM2, non-prescribed data) without any additional modem, together with full control by serial data for Computer Aided Dispatch applications.
Mobiles are available in three standard control head versions to cover different applications:
Simple operation with 16 shortcode numbers selected by rotary switch. Each can be programmed for radio, status, PABX or PSTN telephone calls.
Multiaddress operation with 3-digit display and up/down buttons to give 999 selections including short codes and MPT 1343 fleet numbers.
Keypad microphone for full freeform dialling, and alphanumeric display (2 lines of 24 characters) to show text for data or message paging, and full supervisory information.
Our engineering teams can offer designs to meet customer specific requirements, for example data only models and custom interfaces, or alternative man-machine interfacing with different core software where necessary. The software techniques have resulted from many years experience in the research, development and manufacture of sophisticated MPT1327 equipment and systems. This ensures a very high standard of equipment performance under a wide range of conditions, on our own infrastructure or that from other sources.
