Martindale VR2240 16th Edition Installation Tester

This is an all-in-one tester which incorporates continuity, insulation resistance, RCD, earth loop impedance, phase loop impedances, earth resistance and phase rotation tests.

The VR2240 comes complete with test leads, protective carry case and user guide.

Functions

  • Low ohm – Continuity test to earth, protective and equalizing potential conductors with test currents higher than 200mA and open circuit voltage ranging from 4 to 24V
  • Riso – Measurement of insulation resistance with DC test voltage at 50V, 100V, 250V, 500V or 1000V.
  • RCD – Measurement on general and/or selective AC type of the following parameters:
    • Tripping rime
    • Tripping current
    • Contact voltage
    • Overall earth resistance (In this mode VR2240 can measure the overall earth resistance without causing RCD’s to trip)
  • RCD – Measurement on general and/or selective RCD’s A type of the following parameters:
    • Tripping time
    • Tripping current
    • Contact voltage
    • Overall earth resistance In this mode VR2240 can measure the overall earth resistance without causing RCD’s to trip)
  • Loop – Measurement of the line and fault loop impedance with calculation of prospective short circuit current
  • R@15mA – Measurement of fault loop impedance between earth and phase conductors with current of 15mA and calculation of prospective short circuit current.
  • Phase – Indication of phase rotation sequence.
