Multifunction Testers or Installation testers are designed to make life easier and more efficient for the electrical contractor. The multifunction testers are able to perform all 17th, 18th edition tests, in one hand held unit. Insulation continuity, loop impedance and RCD trip test. So, you no longer need to carry three individual instruments

There are multifunction testers from Fluke, Megger, Kewtech, Beha Amprobe, Martindale and others. Some even have automatic functions also, with software, are able to store and download results. This is dependent on the multifunction tester model.
