As from 1st July 2003, all electrical equipment installed in potentially explosive atmospheres in Europe, must comply with the Atex regulations. Basically, any new electrical equipment used on site from 1st July 2003 has to be Atex approved. An example on our webshop, is the Metrix Mx57 which does comply. For users of Intrinsically Safe equipment, the regulations are important. You can download the Atex regulations as issued by the European commission from our Download page.
