Kenwood started building communications products in 1955 and introduced its first professional Kenwood 2 way radios in 1978, entering the US mobile market in 1983 and the European market in 1991.
In 1995 saw the launch of the Kenwood 2 way radio TK-250 licensed analogue hand portable, this rapidly set new standards for quality, reliability and durability in operation. Kenwood analogue devices are in use across the world in various applications.
Having established a strong presence in licensed analogue radio, with hand portable and mobile radios, base stations and repeaters, Kenwood turned its attentions to the license free PMR446 frequency band.
The legendary Kenwood Pro Talk PMR446 is now in its third generation, known as the TK- 3501, and has proved itself across a wide variety of business and industry as well as semi- professional applications. The Pro Talk offers the assurance of instant, reliable short-range radio communications from a rugged, durable and proven handset.
Kenwood licensed hand-held radios, mobile units, base stations and repeaters provide cost effective voice and data communications for business radio users. These include analogue ATEX certified hand held 2 way radios, designed for use in dangerous environments where explosive gas or combustible dust threaten worker safety.
