Description

The KT400DL is a handheld advanced specification loop impedance tester with both low current and high current high-resolution options at 0.001 ohms.

Hi current loop modes

Unlike most loop testers that only measures the resistance of the loop, the high current mode of the KT400DL will measure the true Impedance of the Loop which includes an element of reactance.  This can be significant where the distribution board is close to the mains supply transformer and the KT400’s method is therefore much more accurate than older Loop testing techniques.  This may cause variations in readings compared to ordinary loop testers.

Loop No Trip L-E is a three-wire test to measure Zs where the circuit is protected by an RCD

Loop Hi Current L-E 3-wire hi current test measures Ze at the distribution board before and RCD of Zs where the circuit is not protected by an RCD.

Loop Hi Resolution L-E & L-N 3-wire Hi current high-resolution test is used to measure Ze at the distribution board which is close to a transformer and gives a 0.001 ohm resolution.

Hand’s Free function can be used with any loop measurement.
